He laughed. “Well, we both know how that would end up… but as long as I have you pissed off, talk to your wifey lately?”
The writer soon raised the gun, aiming it at the man’s face and firing.
Xerox’s head exploded into a mist of black fluid, the shells turning his head into nothing but black chunks.
His shadow quivered and then scurried off quickly. The two clones looked at the body in shock. “Oh no… he’s going to be pissed when he gets back…”
Ana cleared her own throat, ears bright red as she pulled back her hair to bind it back out of the way. “Anything you don’t wish to be broken should be left down here,” she managed to say, emptying her own pocket of two different phones and leaving them on the table.
She moved ahead of them to the stairs leading up, pausing to wait for them. The noise upstairs was different. Hurried and chaotic. They were resetting the gym before she got up and grouched at them for whatever they were up to.
Bo began to pull out various weapons on his person. Two sawed-off shotguns, a foldable AK-47 with magazines, a shot of Serum, and a cell phone. He was about to walk off and follow Ana when he paused. “Oh, wait…” He then removed the small pistol from his right leg and his knife belt on the other, as well as the many knives in his jacket. “Okay, I think that’s it.”
“Maybe you’re the one who didn’t understand me.” Aubrey cleared her throat. “Back the hell off or so help me God I will blow you head off your shoulders.”
Xerox smirked and held out his hand. A .22 snub nose formed out of pure darkness. “Well if that’s how you feel…” He gripped it and handed the gun to her, forcibly placing it in her hand. “Knock your self out, doll.”
“Oh, not completely, but if it wasn’t for you, darkness wouldn’t have been as active. If you’d just been a good human and done what all you humans are good at, none of this would have happened.”
“Really tempted to shoot you right now,” Alan muttered as he continued walking.
He laughed. “Well, we both know how that would end up… but as long as I have you pissed off, talk to your wifey lately?”
“Aww, what’s the matter? Not enjoying the Wonderland that you helped create? Too bad. You’ve made your bed. Now it’s time to lie in it. Besides, this is entertaining to me.”
Alan rolled his eyes as he continued walking, annoyed by this man. “I didn’t create this place.”
“Oh, not completely, but if it wasn’t for you, darkness wouldn’t have been as active. If you’d just been a good human and done what all you humans are good at, none of this would have happened.”

“Sorry, let me rephrase that… who are you to tell me what I should or shouldn’t do?” He chuckled softly. “It’s cute.”
|
|
|
“Oh?” Xerox smirked. “And who are you?”
|
“Oh… yeah, that’d hurt. Yeesh.”
“This is why I need to get back to normalcy.”
“Aww, what’s the matter? Not enjoying the Wonderland that you helped create? Too bad. You’ve made your bed. Now it’s time to lie in it. Besides, this is entertaining to me.”

The two clones at his side snarled and hissed. Xerox wiggled a finger. “I won’t… but threats aren’t a good idea. By the way, you MIGHT actually do more damage with a real gun.”
“This is a real gun,” Alan held up the shotgun.
“Oh… yeah, that’d hurt. Yeesh.”

“Oh for the love of…” He sighed. “It was just a joke. You know, she’s a part of darkness, I’m a part of darkness… you are surprisingly dense.”
“I personally don’t care. As long as you aren’t going to kill me, I’m not shoving this flare up your ass.”
The two clones at his side snarled and hissed. Xerox wiggled a finger. “I won’t… but threats aren’t a good idea. By the way, you MIGHT actually do more damage with a real gun.”
“Alan, look around you. Everything around you is because of you. You awoke my aged cousin from her nap, you wrote those pages, and you, Mr. Wake, refuse to give up.” He chuckled. “For a human, you show amazing resolve.”
“Aged cousin? …wait, Aubrey? Are you talking about her? She has relatives?!”
“Oh for the love of…” He sighed. “It was just a joke. You know, she’s a part of darkness, I’m a part of darkness… you are surprisingly dense.”
Ana smiled, stroking her lover’s hand. “Its okay,” she soothed up to her. “I will just need to be certain to search you thoroughly!” There was a beat of silence from her. Ana had meant it in a perfectly innocent way, however that probably wasn’t quite how it came out. She grimaced when the double meaning caught up to be a full few seconds late, and turned away as she untangled from Widowna’s hands.
“Eh bien, c’estait stupide..” she muttered, standing and looking to Bo. “Are we going or not?”
Widowna blushed hard and looked away the second that left her mouth.
Jack looked at them, mouthing the word “Wow” silently. He cleared his throat and stood up. Abaven’s ears perked up and he got up as well.
Slightly distracted by what Ana said, Bo just sat there for a moment. When he was addressed, however, his attention was regained. “Oh, uh… yeah, sure.”
“It’s a little hard when I’m short as shit.” She snickered and put the cigarette to her mouth again when he moved away. Slady took a slow breath of it, soon blowing it out away from them.
“Haha!” He smiled. “Still. You’re not always this short, are you?” He knew the answer to that question: Hell no.
